Israel-Lebanon: transfer operation completed
The transfer operation between Israel and Lebanon was completed at sunset on 16 July, when the remaining ten ICRC trucks and trailers containing 185 coffins of human remains crossed from Israel into Lebanon and were handed over to Hezbollah representatives. Eric Marclay, the ICRC's senior deputy head of operations for the Middle East and North Africa, provides details on the handover and describes the ICRC's role as a neutral intermediary between Israel and Lebanon to facilitate the handover of freed detainees and human remains.

Sudan: hundreds of thousands in Darfur receive agricultural and veterinary assistance
The ICRC completed a major aid operation on 21 July by distributing seed and tools to 1,100 families in the remote North Darfur village of Haskanita.  22-7-2008
Angola: three decades of service to the war-disabled
Angola has thousands of victims of land mines, a legacy of war. Recently the ICRC handed to the authorities its physical rehabilitation programme, which has assisted victims for nearly three decades.  9-7-2008
